Written and released around the time of the MP’s expenses scandal, back when all we had to worry about was the honourable member for Witney claiming tax payer’s money for the removal of wisteria from his stately home.  It all seems like a more innocent time now, what with all the carnage that has ensued since then.  

The original press release read-

“a jolly mash up of music hall and good old-fashioned sedition, featuring special guests the upper classes slumming it around a pub piano in a bargain basement Busby Berkeley dance number. With top hat, tails and a comedy trombone.  Cakes and ale down the British Legion and a toast to the coming of the Second Empire.  Jolly good”

On release back in March 2020, “History” received, to the best of my knowledge, no media coverage whatsoever although, to be fair, we were very much competing for space at the time with a global pandemic so, you know, fair dos really.
